USGS High Plains Aquifer System Laramie County, Wyoming

This USGS study maps the High Plains aquifer system across Laramie County, including the Ogallala, Arikaree and locally permeable White River units, along with estimated groundwater depth, saturated thickness and groundwater elevations.

The study shows that groundwater conditions vary substantially across the county, meaning regional averages alone cannot determine how a large new withdrawal near Horse Creek might affect individual residential wells.
