Sign the Horse Creek Petition

Black Hills Energy is planning a natural-gas power generation and battery-storage project on Horse Creek Road. Many of the details that will determine its impact on nearby homes—including water use, noise, lighting, emissions, construction traffic, pipelines and transmission infrastructure—have not yet been publicly disclosed.

We are asking Black Hills Energy and our elected and regulatory officials to stop or relocate the project away from established residential neighborhoods. If the project continues at this location, we ask that meaningful, enforceable protections be required to minimize impacts on our water, homes, health, property values, and rural way of life.

Signing this petition helps us show that concern about the Horse Creek power plant extends beyond a handful of residents. We intend to share petition totals and signatures with Black Hills Energy, elected officials, regulatory agencies and local news organizations.
