State Representative Rob Geringer Responds to Horse Creek Power Plant Concerns

In a June 12, 2026 response, Representative Rob Geringer identified water, domestic wells, noise, lighting, viewshed, air quality, property values and rural character as legitimate questions. He said he contacted Black Hills Energy for additional information and encouraged the company to hold a public meeting for area residents.

The exchange shows that concerns about project disclosure and neighborhood impacts reached state-level elected officials almost immediately after the project became public, and that additional information was still being sought directly from Black Hills Energy.
