2026 Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power Integrated Resource Plan PSC Public Notice

This July 10, 2026 Wyoming Public Service Commission notice summarizes Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power’s 2026 Integrated Resource Plan, which identifies a 95 MW near-term capacity shortfall beginning in 2027 and considers natural-gas-fired RICE generation plus 50 MW of battery storage. The filing does not identify Horse Creek as the location.

RICE generation and battery storage are relevant technologies to watch, but this document does not prove they are planned for Horse Creek. It does show that these technologies are actively being considered by CLFP.
